How to Be a Godly Woman in a World That Constantly Pulls You Apart.

Updated: Aug 21

You Thought Following God Would Bring Peace

You want to be godly. That desire is genuine — it always has been. But somewhere between the morning alarm and midnight, the world has its hands on you from every direction, and it is not gentle.

The result is a woman who is busy but hollow. Active but unanchored. She reads her Bible when she can, prays on the run, shows up — but she has lost the thread of who she actually is before God. Not because she stopped believing, but because she never stopped long enough to remember her own name.

This is not a discipline problem. It is a rootedness problem. And the solution is not to try harder — it is to go deeper.

Mary Chose One Thing.

Daniel Refused to Become Another.

Scripture gives you two portraits — one of rootedness, one of resistance — and together they draw the full picture of what it means to stay yourself in a world designed to remake you.

Mary shows you where to return when life becomes too loud — back to the feet of Jesus, before the day, the opinions, and the pressure begin taking pieces of your attention and identity.

Daniel shows you something else:

the importance of deciding beforehand who you belong to and what you stand on, so when pressure comes, it meets something already rooted.

Together they show you that becoming godly is not about escaping the world, but about staying so grounded in God that the world slowly loses its power to shape you.

Somewhere Along The Way, God Became Another Box For You To Check.

Here is the mistake most women make: they treat godliness as an item on the list. Pray — check. Read Bible — check. Serve — check. And when life gets full, those things are the first to get squeezed out, because they feel like additions to an already overloaded life.

But godliness is not an addition. It is the root that holds everything else. When Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet, she was not neglecting the important things — she was protecting the one thing that made the important things possible. When Daniel purposed in his heart before the pressure came, he was not being rigid — he was being rooted.

"Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." ROMANS 12:2 — KJV

The word conformed in the Greek is syschematizoto be pressed into a mould from the outside. The world does not ask permission. It simply applies pressure, consistently, until she takes its shape. The only counter to that pressure is transformation from the inside — a renewed mind, a settled identity, a root that goes deeper than the world's reach.

that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,” EPHESIANS 5:26 — KJV

Come To The Father As You Are.

You do not need to build a whole new life or add more pressure onto yourself. You need three things: a place to be rooted, a decision made in advance, and the habit of coming back to the Father God again when you drift without a guilt.

Do not let guilt keep becoming the reason you stay far from God. The Father is not asking you to come back perfect, put together, or stronger than you are right now. He is asking you to come back.

Father God is love. He wants to protect you, cover you, steady you, and bring you back to wholeness little by little. Not through pressure. Not through fear. Through relationship.

You will drift sometimes. You will have days where you feel distracted, tired, numb, or pulled in every direction again. But do not stay there because of shame. Come back again. And again. And again.

That returning is not failure.

That returning is part of walking with Him.
