When you sit alone at night and the noise stops… who are you? When no one calls you mom, wife, leader, creator… who are you? When failure speaks louder than your titles… who are you?
So many of us don’t really know.
You are not alone. And it is not shameful.
Life happens, and we begin to say:
“I am fearful.”
“I am a woman.”
“I am a daughter.”
“I am someone’s mom.”
“I am a designer.”
“I am a construction worker.”
“I am a digital creator.”
Or maybe even — “I am jealous.”
But were those answers satisfying?
Deep inside, you knew there had to be more. Let’s dig.
From Genesis, we see that God created humanity. And when He finished, He said, “It is very good.”

“Very good.”
That does not mean performance.
It does not mean striving.
It does not mean proving.
What God created did not wake up trying to earn approval. It did not hustle for worth. It simply existed in agreement with Him. That is wholeness.
Wholeness is the alignment of your spirit, your soul, and your physical body.
Not one part.
Not two.
All three together.
But because of sin, that wholeness fractured. The soul began to wander. Thoughts became louder than truth.

And here is something many don’t want to say:
There is intelligence behind confusion.
Not every thought comes from you.
Not every emotion belongs to you.
There is an evil kingdom that seeks expression. It has no physical body. So it whispers. It influences. It deceives. It tries to convince you that fear is your identity. That shame is your personality. That bitterness is just who you are.
But it is not.

So again — who am I? I am the image of God.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26 KJV
The word “image” means “shadow”. A shadow does not move on its own. It reflects what stands behind it.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
He gave us Himself.
Power — the Holy Spirit.
Love — Father God.
A sound mind — Jesus Christ.
This is my image:
Power.
Love.
A sound mind.

Prayer
God, show me who You created me to be before the foundation of the earth.
I know I am full of things that do not belong to me. Because I was not sure who I was, I aligned myself with feelings and experiences.
Shame.
Guilt.
Bitterness.
Fear.
Accusation.
Pain.
Feeling left alone.
Being taken advantage of.
Feeling lost.
Not being sure anyone ever loved me.
Envy.
Jealousy.
Control.
Self-hatred.
Self-torment.
Self-pity.
Comparison.
And the list can go on. You know this, Father.
Right now, I make a choice to leave it all here.
Take it from me.
I am done carrying what was never mine.
Fill me with You.
Let me live in a renewed state — the life You had in mind for me. I believe it is better than anything I have experienced.
Thank You, Father, for Your only ONE begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the Old Testament by His obedience and showed me the only way to You.
I am not what attacked me.
I am what You spoke.
Thank You, Jesus.
I love You.
Amen.
